Thailand has plenty of skillful craftsmen and expert designers. In this country there are mines with high-grade gemstones (rubies and sapphires). As Thailand imposedsno import or export duties on raw or cut stones, all kinds of precious stones are sent to this countey for cutting.
- Leatherware
Thailand is an ideal place to buy leather ware of good workmanship. This country has many supplies of raw materials and manpower, who work for low wages. They are working in quite a number of tanneries outside Bangkok, where leather products of high quality are produced.
- Furniture
Thailand produces large selections of furniture, ranging from wooden, wood-carved, leather and rattan to intricate mother-of-pearl inlaid furniture. That is because the raw materials are not difficult to find in this country. That Furniture is durabel and is elegant in appearance.
- Garments
Thai garments not only sell briskly on local markets, but is also a major export article. The garment sections in large department stores always occupy the largest space. Ready made garments are sold in many shops in and around Bangkok.

One Tambon One Product - OTOP
The originally started in Oita Prefecture in Japan. The purpose of this campaign was to improve locally product and resource that are acceptable internationally.
Thai government have been promoting the local industry through the manufacturing. This campaign is called, "One Tambon One Prouct (OTOP)
