Cool Off This Summer with “Khao Chae”

Bangkok Marriott Marquis Queen’s Park welcomes summer with the traditional Thai delicacy “Khao Chae” – chilled rice in jasmine scented water with assorted condiments at Goji Kitchen + Bar and Siam Tea Room throughout April and May 2020.

Khao Chae is a traditional Thai summertime dish that was originally created by the Mon people and dates back to the reign of King Rama II (1809-1824). A truly royal dish, it features fragrant rice in chilled jasmine-infused water, accompanied with classical condiments including fried herbal fish and shrimp paste ball, green pepper stuffed with shrimp and minced pork in fluffy fried egg, shallot stuffed with deep fried flavored minced fish, sweet shredded pork, sweet shredded sun-dried ray fish, fried egg and sweet pickle turnip, fried butterfly pea flower stuffed with shrimp, fried salted egg yolk and fresh vegetables.

Fill the summer with savory and refreshing dish at the Siam Tea Room from 1 April – 31 May 2020 between 11.30 – 17.30 hrs. at THB 490++ per set or THB 590++ for take-home. Khao Chae is also included in the dinner buffet and Sunday Brunch at Goji Kitchen + Bar on 1-30 April 2020.
