About Kata Group
Kata Group Resorts has been a prominent player in the hospitality industry in Thailand since 1980, making it one of the kingdom’s longest established hotel operators. The company now owns a collection of eight hotels in highly desirable beach resort locations in southern Thailand, seven of the properties being managed by Kata Group Resorts. Five are operated under the pioneering Beyond brand. Beyond Resort Karon in Phuket and the luxurious all-villa Beyond Resort Khaolak in Phang Nga province are both adults-only resorts, with no guests under the age of 18 years. Beyond Resort Krabi is a family-oriented resort, as is Beyond Resort Kata. All four of these resorts are absolute beachfront properties. Beyond Patong is located within two minute walk of the beach at Patong, in Phuket, and has been designed to an innovative “Deep Blue Sea” concept. Phuket Orchid Resort & Spa, located at Karon, is a dedicated family hotel and ideal for children with a host of activities and extensive pool areas.
The newest of the properties is Pamookkoo Resort, a family-oriented hotel designed around an “Ancient Civilization” theme and featuring a four-storey-high water slider. The only one of the company properties that is not self-managed is Novotel Samui Resort Chaweng Beach Kandaburi, which is managed by the AccorHotels group.
All resorts have unique qualities, whether focusing on families or couples, and are open to guests all year round. In addition to holidaymakers, the range of facilities and settings attract beachfront weddings, corporate meetings and incentives groups. All Kata Group Resorts have at their core a strong sense of genuine Thai hospitality while offering high quality leisure experiences to guests.
