Kintsugi by Jeff Ramsey, the Modern Kaiseki restaurant at The Athenee Hotel, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Bangkok, has now fully reopened and is offering four super deal lunch sets along with its lunch and dinner menus.
The four Teishoku, or set lunch menus, all offer a choice of three appetizers and one dessert, and include organic rice, miso soup and pickles. The price varies with the main course: with a choice of grilled hamachi, grilled king mackerel, oroshi katsu or pork belly shabu, the set menu is 700 baht; with a main course of unagi donburi it is 850 baht; with grilled Alaskan king crab, 900 baht; and with Grade MB9 Australian Wagyu, 1,000 baht.
The a la carte lunch and dinner menu includes signature and much loved dishes such as Nagano walnut soba noodles, based on a recipe that Chef Ramsey discovered in the countryside of Nagano, in Japan; unagi donburi; chilled Japanese eggplant with tomato gelee; and kin kat, a savory sweet ice cream sandwich that comprises roast foie gras and VSOP cognac coated with a chocolate shell.
